Hello there. KI was the very first agency to specialise in the family market and we’re super-happy to be recognised as the leading global Insight, Strategy and Creative Agency in the kids and family sector in the whole wide world.

We find solutions for the big problems that other agencies just can’t get to. We deliver the Strategic and Creative expertise that makes genuinely fulfilling life experiences for children and families right around the world. And we do this by putting the family at the heart of everything we do. In fact, we’re actually a family-owned business.

We’re also a dedicated team of marketers, designers, researchers, producers, developers, strategists, and we’re all pulling together to make new things for the family every single day.

And that’s why we need to bolster our multi-award-winning team with an amazing Senior Research Executive to be a significant part of our future. This role is at the heart of the research team’s work, and we’re looking for a go-getter to design, set-up and deliver a wide variety of research projects, all the while working with the senior team members to grow their skills and expertise.

We are ideally looking for a candidate with experience of both qualitative and quantitative research, but if you only work within one of these, we’d still love to hear from you! We create award-winning work and deliver uniquely insightful research, but we also make sure everyone has a nice time whilst we do it, so you’ll find us taking our culture and our values just as seriously as we do our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Desk research & trend analysis
You can take a brief from a colleague, ask the right questions, and - once the brief is clear - you know where to look for existing insight. You’re quick to spot trends, can synthetise info from different resources and present it in an engaging way.

  • Qualitative fieldwork management
Contacting suppliers and research participants, briefing research participants to support their engagement on the project, finding and reviewing research venues, as well as supporting the project team with fieldwork-specific organisation and staying on top of timelines.

  • Research moderation - with support from senior team members
You have probably observed plenty of research sessions and are great at taking notes and finding themes for reporting. Preferably - you had some experience moderating too, either online, offline or both. At KI, our research sessions are with children, so we take pride in working with and growing the talent for engaging, playful, immersive moderation.

  • Survey writing
You know how to write an engaging and empathetic survey. Even if you’ve not had a lot of experience in this, you understand survey flow and how to ask the right questions.

  • Survey management & analysis
Working with panels, cleaning the data and understanding the foundations of charting in Excel. Amazing (but not essential) if … you can work with or understand the principles of survey scripting & statistical analysis.

  • Analysing data to craft a compelling & actionable story
The way in which we report is always focused on audience needs and a strong understanding of our clients’ business. You will support the process of creating presentations as you synthetise learnings, visualise insights, craft stories and create frameworks to support decision making.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of the wider business’ knowledge base
As a member of our Insight team, you will be jointly responsible for sharing relevant industry and project knowledge with team members from our Creative and Strategy Teams.

Important skills and abilities:

  • At least a year of good foundational market research experience
  • A team player - a proactive, positive person with a can do attitude
  • Experience in the design of research screeners & discussion guides, as well as qualitative reporting
  • Questionnaire-design ability and knowledge of basic statistics an advantage
  • An analytical mind - able to spot trends and emerging themes, connect the dots between different pieces of insight and apply it to clients’ problems
  • Commitment to delivering top-quality work, with pride, to specific deadlines
  • Being able to present your point of view or research findings clearly and confidently, both in writing and in conversation
  • A thirst for learning about our client’s businesses and gaining expertise in the kids and family industry - ongoing learning about media trends, technology, innovation, influencer economy and more
  • Calm under pressure - KI can be busy but we are also hugely collaborative & have an exciting working environment. We’re looking for someone who can thrive in this space, meaning you know how to manage your time, prioritise tasks, collaborate with your team and excel at the job
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks at once and anticipate problems / clashes and how to avoid them
  • Confidently and professionally communicate with clients in written and verbal comms - including workshops, status calls, research debriefs and ongoing project emails
