As we expand, we are looking for a Junior Strategist to join our multi-award-winning team. This role is perfect for someone who delights in problem-solving, is curious with an analytical mind and desires to make a meaningful impact on the brands that create for children and families.

Team Overview 

The Strategy team collaborates with both the Design and Research teams on a range of projects. 

The Junior Strategist will report directly to the Senior Strategist.

Core projects include:

  • Brand strategy - helping brands determine a client brand’s purpose and positioning as well as develop their brand identity  
  • Campaign strategy - undertaking the strategic thinking and media planning that help shape marketing campaigns and stimulate our creative team’s great ideas 
  • Business and market strategy - tackling knotty business problems like how best to build an entertainment franchise 

Overall Job Purpose 

The Junior Strategist supports all areas of strategy development. Like all strategists, you’ll stand at the intersection of the client, the consumer and the broader world of trends, cultural shifts, and society.

Working as a core part of the team to understand the client’s product,  market and consumer you will use this insight to assist in the creation of strategies which shape business decisions and marketing ideas. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Gathering audience data and insights from internal and external sources 
  • Conducting desk research to understand the different sectors our clients operate in
  • Assisting with pitches and client workshops
  • Facilitating ideation sessions 
  • Assisting in the development of creative briefs 
  • Assisting in the development of media plans and undertaking basic media reporting
  • Thought leadership - keeping up to date on key trends affecting the kids and family space and writing articles and sharing knowledge across the business and beyond 

Important skills, abilities and interests  

This is a graduate position and we aren’t looking for someone with a wealth of experience. 

However, the key thing that we look for in any strategist is curiosity - if you’re the sort of person that constantly asks why, and always has a desire to get to the bottom of a problem, then we’d like to hear from you.

  • Strong analytical, written and communication skills and the ability to distil down complex ideas and express them clearly and articulately
