Egmont Fiction
Working with Children to Write BooksWorking with consumers we created an entirely new range of books for children.
Along with Egmont we went to 6 different schools around the country and worked with 6 classes in each school (that’s a lot of children. 1084 to be exact!) to establish the themes and characters that would be relevant to them.
Having brought a selection of the most workable and commercially exciting ideas to concept stage we then developed them with a writer, illustrator and a very able group of children.
The result is a great range of exciting books for children – that’s done rather well at retail. In fact last year one of the ranges we created was number 4 – and that was in a Harry Potter year.
